Set up to extend our values beyond care and support services, The Birdhouse provides a real-world setting where inclusion, opportunity, and community connection are at the heart of everything we do.
What it does
Through The Birdhouse, we offer paid employment and high-quality training for adults with learning disabilities in a supportive, welcoming café environment. People develop practical skills such as customer service, food preparation, and teamwork, while building confidence, independence, and a sense of purpose through meaningful work.
Community impact
The Birdhouse is also a place for the wider community — a friendly, inclusive space where people come together, stigma is challenged, and relationships are built naturally.
